About Hannah

An Oregonian born and raised, Hannah is a queer artist best known for their analog portraiture. The tactile and sentimental nature of object-making has always been a driving force behind Hannah’s work, and is further explored in their embroidery and painting. All of the materials used in supplementing shoots are reclaimed, thrifted, or pieces from their collection of knick-knacks. Objects, like a piece of film, hold memories, stories, and some of the deepest parts of ourselves: the focus of Hannah’s creative practice.

A year spent abroad in high school sparked Hannah’s interest in documentation through photos, and led to them studying at the Art Institute of Portland program for photography. Hannah now works as a freelance photographer and has worked on a number of projects for local musicians, craftspersons, and artisans.
